Hello there!
Today was a busy day for our class! We:
- learned more about Orange Shirt Day and the TRC's 94 Calls to Action. We then decorated hearts as a part of this lesson. We will be using these hearts tomorrow in the Orange Shirt Day Ceremony.
- went on a walking field trip to the Coventry Hills Village Pond and we had to sketch and observe things while we were there.
- used "boom whackers" in music class.
Reminders
- Tomorrow (Wednesday, September 29th 2021) is Orange Shirt Day - There will be a ceremony for students in the morning. Please wear an orange shirt if you have one. Remember, this is a solemn ceremony and not like a typical assembly where there is cheering, clapping, etc. Please remember to be quiet, respectful and follow instructions!
- No School Thursday September 30th 2021 - for Orange Shirt Day - there IS school on Friday.
- Walking Field Trip - Friday October 1st (For Field Study Friday) - we will be placing our offering on this walk. We will be walking to the Country Hills Village Pond for this and continuing to observe the wetland area.
